Recorded depths in those areas are often no longer true. The survey shows where services are now, not where they were laid.

Ground conditions in Sharjah

GPR Ground Scanning in Sharjah: common questions
Why survey if SEWA already has drawings?
Because authority drawings cover authority assets. SEWA records SEWA power and water, the telecom operator records its ducts, and nobody records the private in-plot services a factory laid itself. Those are the ones that get struck. Recorded depths also drift as ground levels change.
How deep can you scan in Sharjah ground?
Usually towards the upper end of the 5 to 10 m range, because the dry sand and compacted fill across the industrial areas read well. Wet ground, saturated fill and buried slabs reduce it. We tell you on site what your ground supports.
Can you survey inside an operating factory yard?
Yes. The cart is pushed over the ground and needs no excavation or exclusion zone, so it works around yard traffic subject to your site rules. We usually ask for vehicles to pause across a survey strip for a short time rather than closing the yard.
