Underground Utility Survey & GPR Ground Scanning in Ajman
Ground surveys in Ajman mostly come ahead of three kinds of dig: trenching across industrial plots in Al Jurf and the Industrial Areas, works inside the Free Zone and around the port, and new service connections in residential districts such as Al Nuaimiya, Al Rawda and Al Helio. We survey the dig area with a Proceq GS8000, paint the buried services on the ground with estimated depths, and say in writing where the ground stopped the radar. Ajman is a planned visit with a day's notice, and the PDF report follows within 24 hours.
GPR Ground Scanning in Ajman
Industrial plots in Al Jurf and the Industrial Areas
Plots in the Al Jurf Industrial Areas and Ajman Industrial Areas 1 and 2 change tenants often, and each occupier adds its own power feeds, water lines and drainage inside the plot boundary. Those runs rarely reach a drawing the next tenant ever sees. We survey the whole dig area rather than only the line on a record drawing, so in-plot services show up alongside the authority ones.
New connections in residential districts
Al Nuaimiya, Al Rawda, Al Mowaihat and Al Helio keep generating small, tight digs: a new water or power feed to a building, a drainage tie-in, a villa extension. The trench usually runs from the plot boundary to the street across a verge where several owners' services share a narrow strip. We scan along the planned route and across it, so a service crossing the trench line shows up as well as one running beside it.
Authority records and what they leave out
Etihad WE holds records for its power and water, Ajman Sewerage for the sewer network, and Etisalat and du for their ducts. Each covers its own assets, and a recorded depth stops being true once ground levels are raised or cut. The survey checks those records against what is physically in the ground; it does not replace any NOC or approval you need from them.
Where in Ajman, and how fast
We cover the industrial plots in Al Jurf, the Industrial Areas, the Free Zone and the port, and the districts from the Corniche and Al Nuaimiya to Al Rashidiya, Al Rawda, Al Helio and Emirates City. Ajman is a planned visit from our Deira office with a day's notice. Send the full extent of the dig up front, every trench and pit position, and we cover it in one mobilisation.

Ground conditions in Ajman
Ajman is mostly low, flat coastal ground. Near the Creek, the Corniche and Al Zorah the ground holds shallow, saline moisture that absorbs radar and shortens usable depth; inland towards Al Helio and Al Amerah the sand is drier and reads deeper. Reworked fill, old hardstanding and buried slabs on industrial plots can limit it further, and the report marks any stretch the radar could not clear at depth instead of leaving it blank.
What you get in Ajman
What you receive
- Buried services painted on the ground with estimated depths
- PDF survey report within 24 hours with the mapped findings
- Marked-up drawing over your site plan for larger areas
- A stated depth limit wherever the ground stopped the radar
What the Proceq GS8000 cannot tell you
- Saline, wet or sabkha ground can cut usable depth below 5 m.
- Radar shows an object and its depth, not what the service is.
- Buried slabs and hard layers can hide what sits beneath them.
- Very congested service corridors are hard to separate line by line.
Where one of these limits affects your job, the report says so in writing.

GPR Ground Scanning in Ajman: common questions
How deep can you scan in Ajman ground?
It depends where in Ajman. The GS8000 typically reads 5 to 10 m in UAE soil. Saline ground near the Creek, the Corniche and Al Zorah, and heavily reworked fill on industrial plots, reduce that; the drier sand inland towards Al Helio and Al Amerah reads deeper. We tell you on site what your ground supports, and any stretch the radar could not clear is marked in the report as not cleared at depth.
Can you survey inside a working yard in the Free Zone or Al Jurf?
Yes. Radar is non-destructive and the cart needs no exclusion zone, so a working yard stays open while we survey. Tell us the site's permit, induction and gate pass requirements when you book, so they are arranged before the planned visit rather than on the day.
Does the survey replace the Etihad WE or Ajman Sewerage records?
No. Service owners' records and NOCs stay part of your approval process. The survey checks those records against what is physically in the ground, including private in-plot services nobody recorded, and gives you a written report to add to the file.
What should we send before the visit?
The site location, a sketch or drawing of where you plan to dig, the trench lengths or pit positions, and the depth you intend to excavate. Any service records you already hold help too. With that we confirm a date and a price, and plan the visit so the whole area is covered in one go.
How quickly can you attend in Ajman?
Ajman is a planned visit with a day's notice. We reply to WhatsApp requests within 1 hour during working hours, Sunday to Thursday 8 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 3 PM. Send the plot, the area or trench length and the dig depth, and we confirm a date and a price.
