


RAK work splits between two worlds. In the north there are cement plants, ceramics factories and quarry infrastructure where we scan heavily reinforced slabs, machine bases and silo walls before anchors go in. On the coast there is resort and hotel construction at Al Marjan and Al Hamra, where the decks are post-tensioned and every MEP penetration needs clearing first. We scan with the Proceq GP8000, mark safe zones on the surface and issue a report before anyone drills.
A large share of RAK concrete is plant structure — machine foundations, crusher bases, conveyor supports, tank plinths and heavily reinforced ground slabs. These carry dense top reinforcement and decades of undocumented modification, because plants get extended in stages and the drawing set almost never keeps up. Anchoring into a machine base without scanning is how a bolt ends up through a bar it was never meant to touch.
The hotel and leisure build-out on the coast uses post-tensioned floor plates, and the MEP fit-out that follows needs hundreds of penetrations through them. On these projects we scan every penetration rather than sampling, and mark out drill positions ahead of the coring crew so the two trades are not waiting on each other.

RAK spans two very different radar environments. The northern quarry belt and the Hajar foothills are rock and compacted gravel, where returns are strong but hard near-surface layers can mask what sits beneath them. The coastal strip at Al Hamra and Al Marjan is reclaimed fill carrying saline moisture, where usable depth falls away quickly.
