How we surveyed it
- Proceq GS8000 ground penetrating radar, with real-time imaging reviewed on site as the survey progressed.
- The area outlined by the client was scanned ahead of excavation at several locations.
What the report said
- The survey recorded reflections consistent with buried services at indicative depths of about 1 m and 1.8 m.
- It also recorded a possible shallow service within the top 40–50 cm, which the report said to treat with caution.
What the client received
- 14-page branded PDF survey report.
- 10 scan images captured on site.
- A recommendation to excavate manually and progress slowly within the affected zones.
Limitations we reported
- Depths are approximate and must be confirmed by trial pit before excavation.
- Ground with high clay or salt content, or a shallow water table, can absorb the radar signal. The report states this limit openly.
GPR shows where something is likely to be, not what it is. Every report we issue recommends trial pits or hand excavation to confirm services before any machine digs. See how our GPR ground scanning service works, or GPR ground scanning in Abu Dhabi.
